CFT — Kazakhstan

CFT, a discrete manufacturing company in Kazakhstan, engaged Awara IT to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with full Kazakhstan localization. The objective was to replace legacy NAV processes, automate manufacturing and shop-floor controls, and provide a single source of truth for finance, inventory and warehouse operations.
Awara IT delivered a phased Business Central implementation that combined core finance and supply chain modules with manufacturing and warehouse process automation. The project produced measurable reductions in cycle times, improved inventory accuracy and accelerated financial close while ensuring statutory compliance for Kazakhstan reporting and tax requirements.
CFT is a Kazakhstan-based discrete manufacturing company operating in the Middle East region, focused on industrial components and assemblies. The company operates multiple production lines, a central warehouse and finance operations supporting local statutory reporting.
CFT operated on an older Dynamics NAV/Business Central footprint with significant customizations and manual workarounds. Key pain points included fragmented data across finance and operations, limited visibility into shop-floor status, and manual warehouse processes (paper picking, manual receipts) that caused stock discrepancies and delayed fulfilment.
Finance relied on spreadsheet consolidations for month-end close and statutory reporting, extending close periods and increasing risk of error. Manufacturing lacked consistent routings and job tracking, making throughput and capacity planning imprecise. The company required a single ERP baseline that would modernize manufacturing execution, tighten supply-chain control, and meet Kazakhstan tax and language requirements.
CFT chose Dynamics 365 Business Central because it aligned with the company’s existing Microsoft technology stack and provided a modular ERP foundation that supports finance, manufacturing and warehouse processes. Business Central’s manufacturing and inventory modules offered a practical path to standardize routings, capacity planning and shop-floor data capture without a full MES replacement.
The decision also considered localization availability for Kazakhstan (chart of accounts, VAT, statutory reports), native integration with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform for reporting and automation, and the ability to extend the solution with APIs for third‑party MES and banking integrations. Awara IT was selected as implementation partner for its Dynamics 365 experience and regional delivery model.
The implementation included Kazakhstan-specific localization: statutory chart of accounts mapping, VAT handling, local tax reporting formats and language support (Russian interface and bilingual reports). Awara IT implemented required statutory reports and the e-invoicing / tax submission interfaces used in Kazakhstan, and configured withholding taxes and VAT posting groups according to local rules. Financial reports and tax submissions were validated against local compliance requirements to ensure audit readiness.
CFT achieved a consolidated transactional platform that removed parallel spreadsheets and manual handoffs between production, warehouse and finance. Standardizing on Business Central reduced reconciliation work, shortened the financial close and increased confidence in operational KPIs. Automated data capture on the shop floor and a barcode-driven warehouse process materially improved inventory accuracy and reduced picking errors.
Operationally, better visibility into production orders and capacity enabled more reliable scheduling and improved on‑time delivery. The Kazakhstan localization and statutory reporting integration reduced compliance overhead and prepared CFT for audit cycles with fewer manual interventions.
Awara IT delivered a pragmatic Business Central solution that unified our finance and operations and ensured Kazakhstan statutory compliance. The team translated our manufacturing needs into a reliable, maintainable ERP baseline. — Aigerim Zhumagulova, CFO, CFT
