Borjomi is a Georgian beverage manufacturer operating multiple production sites and regional warehouses across Georgia. As a leading bottled water and beverage producer in the region, the company required enterprise-grade planning and supply chain capabilities to support complex production and distribution rhythms.

Before the engagement Borjomi relied on spreadsheets and disconnected systems for production and shipment planning. Planners had to manually reconcile demand forecasts, target warehouse balances, production schedules and vehicle capacities. This approach could not consistently account for operational constraints such as well flow rates, working time funds, production standards and lift/vehicle limits, which led to frequent emergency shipments and elevated logistics costs.

Borjomi also lacked systematic plan-to-actual analysis: deviations in transport and production volumes, product mix shifts, and missed shipping windows were identified late, limiting corrective action. The IT landscape included Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM as the core ERP and Casplan for planning inputs, but there was no automated optimization layer to translate forecasts into executable, constraint-aware plans.

Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM (Dynamics F&O) was chosen because it provides native manufacturing, master planning and warehouse management capabilities that map directly to Borjomi’s process-manufacturing requirements. Its extensibility allowed Awara IT to embed an optimization model and capture the many operational constraints—vehicle capacity, warehouse balances, production rates and well flow—while keeping transactional finance and inventory processes in a single ERP fabric.

Awara IT’s implementation approach prioritized minimizing business disruption: using standard Dynamics F&O modules where possible, integrating Casplan for demand inputs, and deploying Power Platform for analytics and operator interfaces. The end solution balanced out-of-the-box functionality with targeted extensions to meet Borjomi’s specific logistical and regulatory needs in Georgia.
