Procurement and purchase-to-pay processes were fragmented, affecting supplier lead times and spend visibility. Sales and project delivery teams lacked a consistent single source of truth for customer contracts, resource time reporting and budget consumption, which made forecasting and margin control difficult as the business scaled into new countries.

The ability to connect to Dynamics 365 for Sales, Power Platform and Azure services meant the solution could deliver end-to-end lead-to-cash and project-to-invoice processes while leveraging existing Microsoft 365 and Azure investments.

Business Central provided the functionality needed for multi-company, multi-currency accounting and project accounting with a faster time-to-value than a full-scale finance transformation. Awara IT ensured Business Central was configured for local statutory and tax requirements across the countries in scope. That included Swiss VAT and e-invoicing formats, SEPA payment and bank statement formats for EU entities, statutory reporting templates for Germany, VAT handling for Turkey, and GDPR-compliant data handling across EU and Swiss operations. Chart of accounts mappings, local fiscal year settings and tax code setups were implemented per jurisdiction; where payroll remained local, interfaces were created to exchange posting files and tax reports with local payroll vendors.

Consolidating finance, billing and project accounting on Dynamics 365 Business Central delivered direct operational improvements: faster month-end closes, accelerated billing and reduced disputes. Improved first-pass billing accuracy and automated intercompany processes reduced downstream rework and improved cash flow. The standardized procurement process and supplier EDI lowered lead times and increased visibility into committed spend.
