Evepack — Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation

Evepack engaged Awara IT to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the single system of record for finance, procurement, warehouse and manufacturing for a new production site in Istanbul, Turkey. The objective was to deploy a full-cycle ERP that supports discrete manufacturing processes, enforces financial controls, and provides inventory and production visibility from day one.

Awara IT delivered a phased implementation covering master data, MRP and production orders, warehouse processes with handheld scanning, local e‑invoicing and reporting via Power BI. The go-live enabled Evepack to open the plant on schedule, streamline purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash flows, and reduce month-end close time, while remaining compliant with Turkish fiscal requirements.

Evepack planned to open a new manufacturing facility in Istanbul and needed a reliable ERP foundation to run production, procurement, inventory and finance from day one. The legacy environment and manual spreadsheets could not support production routing, multi-level BOMs, MRP runs, or real-time inventory allocation required for flexible packaging operations.

Key pain points included lack of inventory accuracy, slow purchase-order processing, manual workarounds for production scheduling and costing, and limited financial controls for VAT reporting and intra-company transactions. The company also required integration with local e-invoicing (GİB) and handheld devices on the warehouse and shop floor.

Its native production order, BOM and routing capabilities, combined with inventory and warehouse workflows, matched Evepack’s requirement for full-cycle automation without a fragmented toolset.

The implementation included Turkish localization for invoicing and fiscal reporting: e‑Fatura/e‑Arşiv connectivity to the Revenue Administration (GİB), VAT handling by tax codes, and a local chart of accounts structure to support statutory reporting. All user interfaces and key reports were prepared in Turkish for operational teams, and numbering sequences and audit trails were configured to meet local legal requirements.

Real-time visibility into inventory and production enabled more accurate MRP runs and reduced expediting; finance gained timely VAT-compliant invoicing and faster monthly closes.

Operational teams reduced manual reconciliation and eliminated paper-based approvals through Power Automate workflows and handheld scanning. The solution also provided a scalable foundation for future sites or product lines, reducing the time and risk associated with subsequent rollouts.
