Carlsberg Uzbekistan engaged Awara IT to migrate an on-premises Exchange environment to Microsoft 365 E5 and to audit and harden the estate’s security posture. The engagement included tenant setup, AD DS synchronization with Entra ID, a hybrid Exchange configuration allowing phased mailbox moves, and basic SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune configuration with targeted user training. The client operated an on-premises Exchange organization with fragmented monitoring, limited remote access controls and little centralized policy for devices. A security audit identified gaps in identity protection, inconsistent multi-factor authentication enforcement and weak visibility across endpoints. Training materials and key operational documentation were delivered in English and Russian to match the client’s user base. Retention labels, legal hold procedures and audit logging were configured to align with local compliance expectations and the client’s internal governance policies.

Conditional Access and Defender capabilities addressed the audit findings and significantly improved detection and prevention across mail and endpoints.
