LC WAIKIKI — Kazakhstan, Turkey

LC WAIKIKI engaged Awara IT to implement a Kazakhstan localization of Dynamics 365 Business Central as part of the retailer’s first-store launch in the country. The engagement focused on delivering statutory compliance, integrating Business Central with the existing LS Retail (LS Central) landscape, and putting in place core finance, procurement and inventory processes that match local tax, currency and retail requirements.
Awara IT delivered a targeted Business Central localization and integration package that enabled faster store onboarding, stabilized financial reporting, and provided the retail operations team with reliable stock and sales data. The result is a repeatable, compliant setup that LC WAIKIKI can scale across additional stores in Kazakhstan while keeping headquarters’ NAV/BC governance intact.
LC WAIKIKI is an international clothing brand and retailer headquartered in Turkey that expanded into Kazakhstan with its first local store. The project addressed retail finance and operations needs across Kazakhstan while aligning with the company’s regional IT landscape.
LC WAIKIKI’s market entry into Kazakhstan required Business Central functionality to match local statutory and retail practices. The parent company already used Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail (LS Central) for point-of-sale and retail operations, so the challenge was to deliver Kazakhstan-specific accounting, taxation and reporting within the Dynamics 365 Business Central framework while preserving interoperability with LS Central.
Concrete pain points included adapting the Chart of Accounts and VAT handling to local rules, supporting KZT currency and rounding rules, ensuring retail transaction reconciliation between POS and finance, producing statutory reports in required formats, and keeping the store onboarding timeline short to meet launch milestones. There was also a need for secure, tested integrations with LS Central and local fiscal/peripheral vendors to ensure receipts and reports met local expectations.
Dynamics 365 Business Central was the natural choice because LC WAIKIKI’s regional IT landscape already used Dynamics NAV and LS Retail; Business Central offers a modern upgrade path and native compatibility with NAV/LS modules. The Dynamics platform allowed the team to implement localization as extensions, minimizing disruption to existing processes while enabling centralized finance visibility.
Awara IT was selected as implementation partner due to experience with NAV/BC retail rollouts and prior work integrating Business Central with LS Retail stacks. The approach emphasized delivering statutory compliance, preserving LS Central POS workflows, and creating a repeatable template for future store rollouts in Kazakhstan.
Awara IT implemented Kazakhstan-specific localization in Business Central covering the local Chart of Accounts, VAT handling and invoice formats, KZT currency rounding rules and statutory reports required by tax authorities. The localization was delivered as extensions to keep the core solution upgradeable. Where fiscalization or receipt formats required third-party devices, Awara IT validated integrations with local vendors and performed end-to-end testing to ensure receipts and reports met local audit expectations.
The localized Business Central implementation reduced regulatory risk by ensuring statutory reporting and VAT handling matched Kazakhstan requirements. Centralized finance processes and reliable POS-to-ledger integrations eliminated recurring manual adjustments and shortened month-end close, freeing finance resources for analysis rather than reconciliation. Retail operations gained accurate, near real-time inventory and sales visibility, enabling faster restocking decisions and consistent store openings.
The deliverable is a repeatable, upgrade-safe Business Central localization and integration template that LC WAIKIKI can apply to additional Kazakhstan stores. The technical pattern preserves interoperability with the parent NAV/LS landscape while giving the local entity compliant financial operations.
