Dynamics 365 Business Central: Kazakhstan Localization for MIRRICO

MIRRICO, an oil-service professional services group operating across Kazakhstan, modernized its ERP landscape by moving from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 14 to Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV 18) with Awara IT as implementation partner. The program focused on automating finance, sales order servicing and warehouse processes across 15 legal entities to reduce servicing costs, shorten month-end close and deliver statutory reporting required by Kazakh authorities.

Awara IT delivered a phased migration and localization project combining Business Central standard modules and targeted extensions for Kazakhstan tax and reporting. The implementation prioritized multi-company consolidation, intercompany automation and integrations with existing document management to provide finance and IT leaders with a single source of truth and measurable operational improvements within months of go-live.

Müşteri / Sektör / Ülke

MIRRICO is a Kazakhstan-based professional services group specializing in oil service. The organization operates roughly 15 legal entities within Kazakhstan and serves clients across the region, with core operations in finance, accounting and warehouse fulfillment.

İş zorluğu

MIRRICO was running a legacy mix of Dynamics NAV 14 instances with heavy customization and manual reconciliation processes across its group companies. Key pain points included slow month-end closes driven by manual intercompany reconciliations, fragmented order servicing workflows that increased servicing cost per order, and limited consolidated financial visibility for group-level reporting.

The company also needed to meet Kazakhstan statutory requirements—VAT filing, local chart of accounts and language support—while minimizing ongoing maintenance costs of multiple NAV instances. Document management and warehouse processes were semi-integrated, producing duplicate entries and increasing stock discrepancies, which impacted billing accuracy and working capital.

Neden Dynamics 365 seçildi

MIRRICO selected Dynamics 365 Business Central because it provided a clear upgrade path from NAV 14 (NAV lineage) and native functionality for multi-company setups, intercompany posting and consolidation. Business Central’s extension model (AL) allowed Awara IT to deliver Kazakhstan-specific localization without invasive core modifications, reducing long-term maintenance effort.

The Microsoft ecosystem—Azure, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform—was also a deciding factor: it enabled secure integrations with local tax portals, improved reporting through Power BI, and simplified user authentication via Azure AD. For a group with 15 legal entities, Business Central offered the right balance of out-of-the-box capabilities and extensibility for local compliance and process automation.

Yerelleştirme ve uyumluluk

Awara IT implemented a Kazakhstan-specific localization extension for Business Central that covers VAT routines, mandatory statutory reports, the local chart of accounts mapping and reporting in Russian/Kazakh as required. The solution included secure API adapters to submit VAT declarations and e-invoices to Kazakhstan tax portals where available, and produced month- and year-end statutory reports consistent with local accounting rules.

Localization work was delivered as extensions (AL) layered on Business Central to maintain upgradeability. The project included validation cycles with MIRRICO’s finance team to ensure formats, numeric precision and regulatory fields matched Kazakh tax authority expectations.

İş değeri

The Business Central migration delivered consolidated financial control across 15 legal entities, reduced manual reconciliation and improved statutory compliance in Kazakhstan. Automation of intercompany postings and standardized order-to-cash processes lowered operational cost and shortened financial cycles, enabling the finance leadership to produce timely, auditable consolidated reports.

Operationally, tighter inventory controls and integrated document management reduced discrepancies and working capital pressure. By implementing localization as extensions and leveraging the Microsoft stack, MIRRICO reduced ongoing maintenance risk and positioned its ERP for incremental improvements using Power Platform and Power BI.
