Project for the Web deployment at XalqBank — Dynamics 365 partner Awara IT

XalqBank needed a secure, auditable way to manage and report on internal projects while working within an existing Microsoft 365 estate and strict banking security requirements. Awara IT delivered a targeted implementation of Microsoft Project for the Web, installed the Project for the Web Accelerator and integrated project data with Power BI to create consolidated, visual reports for PMO and executive stakeholders.

XalqBank is a retail and corporate bank headquartered in Azerbaijan, operating across the country with multiple internal project streams and a central PMO responsible for governance and reporting.

XalqBank relied on spreadsheets, email and fragmented tools for project status, resource allocation and portfolio reporting. This caused slow, error-prone consolidation of project data, limited portfolio visibility for executives and extended lead times to produce audit-ready reports required by internal governance and regulators.

The bank also had constraints around data residency, identity management and secure integration with its existing Microsoft 365 infrastructure. Any new project management solution had to integrate with Azure Active Directory, align with IT security policies and be adopted quickly by business users through focused training.

Data residency requirements were respected by keeping project metadata in Dataverse within the tenant and applying encryption-in-transit and at-rest. Role-based access and Azure AD conditional access policies were configured to ensure that only authorized personnel could view sensitive project or financial information. User-facing interfaces were delivered in English and Azerbaijani where required for PMO adoption.
