Dynamics 365 Kazakhstan Localization implemented for VAN REES

VAN REES, a Netherlands-based leader in tea production and processing, engaged Awara IT to deliver a Dynamics 365 Kazakhstan Localization to support its expansion into the Kazakhstan market. The project replaced aging AX 2012 components and integrated core manufacturing and delivery-chain processes to meet local statutory requirements and streamline operations across finance, supply chain and production.

Awara IT implemented Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations with Kazakhstan-specific localization, production and subcontracting flows, and integrations to VAN REES’s existing DycoTrade footprint. The outcome enabled compliant tax reporting in KZT, faster order-to-delivery cycles, improved inventory accuracy and consolidated financial close — allowing VAN REES to operate efficiently in a new market with minimal disruption to European operations.

VAN REES is a Netherlands-based tea leader specialising in discrete manufacturing of tea products. The company expanded operations into Kazakhstan and required a localized ERP platform to support manufacturing, supply chain and finance across Netherlands and Kazakhstan operations.

Business challenge

VAN REES’s move into Kazakhstan exposed gaps in its IT landscape. The existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 environment and DycoTrade connectivity lacked Kazakhstan tax and statutory reporting, multi-currency handling in KZT, and localized delivery-chain management. Production and subcontracting workflows were partially manual, causing delays and poor visibility across international supply chains.

Localization & compliance

The implementation delivered Kazakhstan-specific localization: local chart of accounts, VAT and statutory tax codes, KZT currency support, and statutory report formats required by Kazakhstan tax authorities.
