Zimran — Kazakhstan

Zimran, an IT company operating multiple legal entities across Kazakhstan, faced fragmented financial processes driven by a complex payments landscape — more than 25 million transactions per year routed through multiple banks, payment platforms and reseller channels. The lack of standardized bank feeds and automated reconciliation meant slow month-end closes, limited cash visibility and high manual effort in accounting and commission calculations.
Awara IT implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with Kazakhstan localization, integrating 10+ banks and Google BigQuery, and automating payment reconciliation, cash-based OPEX and sales recognition, and reseller commission tracking. The result is consolidated, auditable financials with same-day reconciliation capability, faster closes and management reporting that supports cash-flow forecasting and budgeting across Zimran’s corporate structure.
Zimran is an IT company headquartered in Kazakhstan serving regional customers in the Middle East and Central Asia. The business operates multiple entities and reseller relationships and processes over 25 million payment transactions annually, requiring robust finance, accounting and budgeting controls.
Zimran’s finance organization struggled with fragmented data flows across many legal entities, dozens of payment channels and varying bank formats. Reconciliation was largely manual: finance teams imported files, matched transactions by hand and corrected frequent mismatches. That manual work created delays in month-end close, opaque cash positions and a high error rate in management reports.
The company also needed automated tracking of reseller commissions and cash-based OPEX and sales recognition to produce reliable budget vs. actual reporting. With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central already part of the landscape, the primary challenges were localization for Kazakhstan statutory requirements, secure integrations with 10+ banks and payment platforms, and a scalable architecture to handle 25M+ transactions/year without heavy manual intervention.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was selected because it provides a proven finance core, native support for intercompany accounting and flexible extension points for integrations. Business Central’s modular finance capabilities align with Zimran’s need for strong ledger controls, bank reconciliation and commission management while enabling centralized budgeting and forecasting.
Awara IT was chosen as the implementation partner for its experience delivering Kazakhstan localization and integrations for the Microsoft stack. The solution needed to integrate with Google BigQuery for analytics, handle multiple bank formats and provide automation (Power Platform and Azure integration patterns) without disrupting existing operations. Dynamics 365 Business Central met those technical and governance requirements while preserving a clear upgrade path.
Awara IT delivered Kazakhstan-specific localization for Business Central covering statutory chart of accounts, VAT handling, local currency (KZT) processing and statutory report formats required by Kazakh authorities. The implementation included localized bank statement formats and mapping logic for commonly used Kazakhstan banking files to ensure automated posting.
Localization also addressed language needs for finance users and an audit-ready transaction trail to satisfy local compliance requirements. Where required, Awara IT adapted exports to meet government reporting expectations and ensured tax-relevant postings conformed to local legislation.
The implementation consolidated finance processes and removed repetitive manual tasks, freeing finance staff to focus on analysis rather than transaction matching. Same-day reconciliation and faster month-end close enabled treasury and CFO-level decision-making with accurate cash positions and forecasts. Automated reseller commission calculations and standardized intercompany postings reduced disputes and improved margin visibility across channels.
Operationally, Zimran now has an auditable finance core that scales for growth and integrates analytics via Google BigQuery for advanced reporting. The reduction in manual effort and faster reporting cycles directly reduced operational risk, improved compliance with Kazakhstan reporting needs and lowered the total cost of month-end activities.
