HOME CREDIT BANK — Kazakhstan

HOME CREDIT BANK engaged Awara IT to design and deliver Benefitis — a Power Apps-based employee motivation and rewards solution embedded directly into Microsoft Teams. The objective was pragmatic: create a measurable, low-friction system for peer-to-peer recognition that supports a healthy corporate culture, reduces HR administrative load, and helps retain high-performing specialists across the bank's operations in Kazakhstan.
Awara IT implemented a Dataverse-backed Power App, Power Automate workflows and a Teams store for redemptions. More than 3,500 employees adopted the system within months, resulting in faster reward delivery, significantly reduced manual processing for HR, and richer analytics that HR and leadership use to track engagement and recognition trends.
HOME CREDIT BANK is a finance-specialized bank operating in Kazakhstan in the Banking & Insurance sector. The project targeted the bank’s employee base across corporate and retail functions; the Benefitis solution reached over 3,500 staff members during initial rollout.
Before Benefitis, recognition and reward activities at the bank were largely manual, inconsistent across departments and hard to measure. HR needed a standardized channel to capture peer recognition, distribute corporate currency, and reconcile redemptions with minimal manual intervention. The absence of a digital rewards mechanism limited HR’s ability to promote desired behaviors and demonstrate the business impact of recognition programs.
Additional constraints included the need for rapid delivery, seamless integration with the bank’s Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams environment, and a solution that required minimal training to encourage adoption. The bank also wanted clear auditability and the ability to report on engagement metrics to senior management to support retention and culture initiatives.
The project team selected Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) because it enables rapid, secure delivery inside the bank’s existing Microsoft 365 and Teams environment. Power Platform provided the necessary connectors, single sign-on through Azure AD, and Dataverse for a governed, auditable data store — all important for a regulated financial institution.
Although this engagement focused on Power Platform, Awara IT’s status as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner was a factor in selection: the team’s broader experience with Dynamics 365 ensured disciplined data governance, change management and integration capabilities. That Microsoft ecosystem expertise shortened delivery time and reduced integration risk with the bank’s HR systems.
Awara IT delivered the Benefitis solution with bilingual support (Russian and Kazakh) for user interfaces and communications. The implementation adhered to the bank’s internal data protection policies and Kazakhstan personal data requirements by configuring Dataverse and environment settings to limit access and retain audit trails. Transactional records and reward redemptions include immutable logs required for internal audit and compliance reviews.
Benefitis delivered measurable operational and cultural benefits. Operationally, HR reduced manual processing by automating issuance, approvals and redemptions, freeing time for strategic work. The Teams-based delivery model drove rapid adoption — employees used familiar tools, which lowered training costs and increased engagement. The bank gained near-real-time analytics to prove program ROI and identify teams with strong recognition cultures.
Culturally, the system increased visible peer recognition and made rewards transparent and trackable, contributing to improved retention among high performers. The project is now a repeatable model the bank can extend to other regions and employee segments with minimal development overhead.
Benefitis changed how our people recognize and reward one another. The integration inside Teams and the speed of delivery from Awara IT meant adoption was immediate and the results measurable. — Aigul Beketova, Head of HR, HOME CREDIT BANK
